1 lump of yeast
400ml warm water
Put the yeast into the warm water, add the sugar and allow it to stand 15 minutes.
The yeast must rise.
Start with 800 gr flour, add the eggs, oil and salt and mix the mass untill there is a dough that does not stick to your fingers.
Make sure the eggs are kosher (no blood in the yolk).
Cover the dough and let it rise again for approx. 30 min.
After this you can protonate the dough and braid it.
Put it on a baking sheet and allow it to stand for another 30 min
You can brush the Challa with whisked egg and sesame/poppy seed
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
